Thank you for registering your hospital/healthcare facility's interest in Save Lives: Clean Your Hands. We are delighted with the response from hospitals and healthcare facilities around the world. Our aim is to have 5000 hospitals/healthcare facilities registered by 5 May next year (2010).
By registering your interest, you are contributing to a global movement to reduce healthcare-associated infections through the practice of hand hygiene at the point of patient care. Already several hundred facilities have registered from over 70 countries.
Between now and 5 May this year, you will receive updates from the WHO World Alliance for Patient Safety's team who are developing this new initiative SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands. The updates will outline how you can contribute and will also explain the tools that will be launched on 5 May. These will include a revised hand hygiene implementation toolkit and a new self assessment framework which will show you how you can map your progress on a 5-step continuum.
If you and your colleagues are already using the WHO 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene, we congratulate you and invite you to take the next step by using the self assessment framework when it is launched.
If you are a hospital/healthcare facility in a country that has an established national hand hygiene campaign, we hope that you are a part of the campaign, and that you are able to access locally produced materials in addition to the WHO materials.
If you are a hospital/healthcare facility in a country that is in the process of developing a national campaign, please let us know. We would like to help you to access the WHO materials.
If you would like more information please let us know by return email.
Yours sincerely,
Save Lives: Clean Your Hands Team |
